TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a detergent compartment for a washing machine, the machine comprising a washing drum, at least one control system with a user interface and the detergent compartment being fluidly connected to the drum via an outlet. A detergent container with at least one compartment is arranged in the space. The detergent compartment comprises a skin drainage channel system which is arranged to supply the compartment / s with water for mixing the detergent in the compartment / s with water and passing it through at least one drainage passage in the container, via the space to the outlet.
BACKGROUND Today's washing machines comprise a detergent compartment arranged in the upper part of the machine. In front-loading machines it is normally reached via the front and in top-loading machines it is reached via the upper part of the machine. In the following, front-loading machines will be treated, but the pitches of the space are the same in top-fed machines, which results in the same problems also arising for Adana machines.
The detergent compartment of front-loading machines has a detergent dispenser with at least one compartment. The detergent compartment comprises a skin drainage channel system arranged in a space cradle for supplying the compartment / water to the water for mixing the detergent with water and passing it through at least one drainage passage in the container, via the space and an outlet to a drum.
This meant that there is a drainage passage adjacent each compartment which allows the detergent mixed with water to collect in the lower part of the space before it flows out via the outlet to a drum where the inner drum with clothes Jr is arranged.
A problem that arises Jr that detergent residues accumulate in the compartments, in the lower part of the space and in the drum. Old remnants can then be released to the clothes during the wash cycle, which degrades the rinsing result. Furthermore, the gannal residues can result in bacterial growth in the space. 2 To clean the drum of residual products and bacteria, today's washing machines may include an extra drum cleaning program cycle. During this cycle, clothes or detergents are not intended to be in the washing machine. In this program cycle, water is flushed through the empty compartments, via the drainage passage into the space and to the drum. The inner drum is further rotated in the drum to ensure that it is washed correctly. No detergent is used during this program cycle.
The water is heated in the inner drum of the drum and thereby provides efficient cleaning of the inner drum and the drum from bacteria and residues.
However, only the drum and the inner drum are cleaned with this known cleaning program cycle.
The water from the inlet that is supplied to the drum during the named cycle is flushed through the compartments into the drum without sufficient cleaning of the space.
SUMMARY The object of the present invention is thus to provide a washing machine which can clean the entire detergent compartment and detergent compartment in the machine.
This object is achieved by means of a detergent compartment for a washing machine, the machine comprising a washing drum and at least one control system with a user interface. The detergent compartment is fluidly connected to the drum via an outlet, a detergent container with at least one compartment is arranged in the space. The detergent compartment comprises a skin drainage channel system which is arranged to supply the compartment / s with water for mixing the detergent in the compartment / s with water and passing it through at least one drainage passage in the container, via the space to the outlet.
The detergent compartment is particularly characterized in that it further comprises at least one further water duct system which is arranged to supply water next to the container directly into the space for flushing out residues in the space to the outlet. By introducing the additional water channel system, the space is cleansed of residues and bacteria. The hot and / or cold water that is fed from the water inlet into the compartments to flush the detergent into the drum at the same time is used to flush out residues and bacteria in the space.
The main and / or the additional water channel system can further be arranged in an upper cradle of the space covered by the container. Thus, the tank is effectively cleaned of the flushing water as the water pressure is also amplified by gravity. The additional water channel system can also lead into a box-like channel on the bottom side of the upper cradle (33). This means that the water is directed efficiently in order to achieve a good washing effect.
The additional water channel system may comprise a first channel connected to the main water channel system for supplying water via the main channel system to the first channel. At least one connection channel preferably connects the main water channel system to the first channel. The main water channel system is preferably supplied with inlet water from a water line connected to a water inlet by the washing machine. This first channel is provided to ensure efficient cleaning of the space when funds are flushed out of the compartments. Via the connecting channel, the water is supplied to the first channel when a compartment is flushed by the main channel system.
The additional water channel system may include a second channel provided with hot process water from the drum. Since the process water during the wash cycle is recirculated to the space, it is ensured that all detergent residues in the space are provided to the wash cycle.
The additional water channel system provides water to the highest part of the periphery of a lower inclined cradle of the space so that said provided water flows over the lower inclined cradle to flush out said residues. The additional water channel system extends substantially along the entire length of the space. This results in a sufficient cleaning of the inclined cradle of the space.
With the present invention, the self-cleaning cycle can be improved with a sufficient cleaning of residues and bacteria from the space.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS The present invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 schematically shows a washing machine in which the detergent compartment is integrated; Figure 2 schematically shows a container in the form of a barn where the detergent compartments are shown; Figure 3 schematically shows a perspective view of the detergent compartment according to Figure 1; Figure 4 schematically shows a top view of the detergent compartment according to Figure 1; Figure shows schematically a perspective view of the detergent compartment according to figure 1, with the upper part separated from the rest of the space.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION In the following, an example of the design of a front-loading washing machine with a detergent compartment which is reached via the front will be illustrated. One skilled in the art would appreciate that the system can be integrated into any washing machine that includes a detergent container that can be filled by a user.
The illustrative washing machine 10, see figure 1, contains a washing drum 13, where the inner washing drum Jr is coated. The inner drum is arranged to rotate about a horizontal axis. The inner drum is n5s through a don- (not shown) in the front of the machine. The machine further comprises a control system integrated in the machine, which is not shown in the figures. The control system which smoothly controls the operation of the machine and will not be further described in the present patent application. However, one skilled in the art would appreciate that the operation of the machine's wash cycles is controlled by this control system.
The machine further comprises a user interface 12 through which the user can control the operation of the machine. The P5 user interface allows users, for example, to determine washing programs and temperature. In addition, with respect to the present invention, the user may also decide whether or not the detergent should perform residual cleaning, either as part of a standard wash cycle or as a separate residual cleaning cycle. This information, together with information on, for example, wash program, temperature and amount of wash , will be used by the control system when the machine is controlled.
The washing machine further comprises a detergent container 11, see Figures 1 and 2. A person skilled in the art would realize that the machine can be provided with detergent and optionally also rinse aid. In the following, detergent will be used as an example of what can be used and provided to the machine. The container n5s Iran the outside of the machine in order to supply the compartment / en 14, 15, 16 in the container with detergent.
In the illustrative embodiment, the container consists of a 15cla which can be pulled out horizontally to be accessible to the user. One skilled in the art would appreciate that any hoist that can be pulled out of the machine is within the scope of the invention. The present invention is, as described in the following, directed p5 containers which are easy to pull or rim out of the machine body.
Trays 14-16 in the container, see figure 2, Jr intended for manual dosing of detergent. An automatic dosing system can be provided to the machine for automatic dosing of liquid or powdered water into the compartments. The container 11 Jr arranged in the detergent compartment 23, see figures 3-5.
The space is connected to the drum 13 via an outlet 32 in such a way that liquid can flow continuously between them.
A first vault (not shown) is provided to supply water from a water line (not shown), connected to the washing machine 10, to the space 23. The detergent space comprises a main water channel system 17, see figures 3-4, which is arranged to supply the compartment / a 14, 15, 16 with water via the tail 20, 21, 22. The detergent in the compartment / s is mixed with water and led via drainage passage 34 in the container into the space. The drainage passages are not shown in the figures, but Jr is preferably a northerly in the posterior spirit of each thank you. The water-mixed detergent is then flushed via the space to the outlet 32 and further to the drum 13 where the inner drum is arranged. Inlet 26 is used to provide cold water to flush the compartment 15 with the detergent used for main water. The inlet water is supplied from the cold water line which is connected to a water inlet in the washing machine. The water flows through the channel to the tail 21 into the compartment. The inlet 27 is used to provide cold inlet water to flush the compartment 14 with the detergent for pre-water. The water flows through the channel to the tail 20 into the compartment. If water is fed through the bacla inlets 26, 27 at the same time, the mixed water jet flows through a channel to the Mien 22 in the compartment 16 with softener used when the clothes are rinsed.
Inlet 28 is used to provide hot water to flush the compartment 15 with the detergent used for main water. Inlet 29 is used to equalize the pressure of the drum 13, where air flows via the compartments out to the ambient air.
There is a need to clean the space 23 of debris and bacteria. A Bachelor Solution Jr. to introduce a separate renewal cycle. However, only the drum and the inner drum are cleaned in this solution. The inlet water supplied to the drum passes the frail compartments into the drum without sufficient renewing of the space.
To solve this problem, the detergent compartment further comprises at least one further water channel system 18, 19 arranged to supply water next to the container directly into the space 23 in order to flush out residues in the space 23 to the outlet 32. The water is continuously flushed into the space 23 without to pass through compartments 14, 15, 16.
Details of the present invention will now be described with reference to Figures 1-5. As seen in the figures, the further water channel system 17, 18, 19 is arranged in an upper cradle 33 of the space 23 which is covered above the container 11. The water flowing through the main water channel system 17 and through the tail 20, 21, 22 is flushed down into the compartments 14, 15, 16. There are several slides exposed at each compartment to ensure that each compartment is sufficiently flushed.
As shown in Figure 5, the additional water channel system 18, 19 leads into a box-like channel 36 at the bottom of the side of the upper cradle 33. The box-like channel 36 ensures that water from channels 18, 19 (described in the following ) is guided next to the container 11. The container is designed to be narrower than the space 23. When the container is positioned in the space, an open space is formed in the rightmost part of the space, see figure 5, along the entire depth of the space. This space allows a passage of water from the box-like channel to the space cradle 31 of the space.
When water is supplied via a box-like channel 36, it flows directly to the lower inclined cradle 31 and further to the outlet 32, see Figure 5. Since the water is supplied to the highest part of the periphery of the lower inclined cradle, the supplied water flows over the inclined the cradle for the purpose of flushing out said residues. Furthermore, since the box-like channel extends substantially along the entire length of the space, it remains to be seen that residues on the entire lower, inclined wall space are flushed.
The additional water channel system includes a first channel 18, which is connected to the main water channel system 17 to provide water to the first channel 18. The water is preferably provided to the first channel during the main water cycle of the washing program. One skilled in the art would appreciate that the water may also be supplied to the first channel during the pre-irrigation or purification cycle.
SA shown in Figures 3 and 4, connection channels 35, 37 are provided which connect the main water channel system to the first channel 18. Through these connection channels, the first channel is supplied with water. Water supplied to the first channel flows through the tail 24, via the box-like channel 36 to the lower inclined cradle 31. The washing machine may comprise one or more connection channels. One skilled in the art will appreciate that the arrangement of connection channel (s) depends on the requirements regarding in which program cycle water is to be supplied to the first channel. For example, connection channel 37 is arranged so that water is supplied to the first channel under flood water.
SS as previously described supplies inlets 26 and 28 cold and hot water respectively from the water inlets to Wen 21 which are used to flush the compartment 15 with the detergent used in main water. Thanks to the connecting channel 35, water p5 is supplied at the same time to the first channel 18. This means that the lower cradle 31 of the space is flushed by ph 'at the same time as water-mixed detergent for main water flows through the drainage passage 34 to the space. This results in an improved cleaning of the bearing cradle from debris.
S5 as also previously described, the inlet 27 is used to provide cold water to flush the compartment 14 with detergent to fresh water. Thanks to the connecting channel 37, water is supplied at the same time to the first channel 18. This means that the lower cradle 31 of the space is flushed off at the same time as water-mixed liquid means for fresh water flows through drainage passage 34 to the space. This also results in an improved cleaning of the bearing cradle from debris.
The further water channel system also comprises a second channel 19 which is supplied with hot process water from the drum 13 via inlet 30. Water supplied to the second channel flows through [Alen 25, via the box-like channel 36 to the lower inclined cradle 31. This meant that the lower cradle 31 of the space is rinsed off with hot, Stercirculated water from the drum. This also results in an improved cleaning of the bottom part from residues.
The first and second channels 18, 19 can thus be used to clean away residues accumulated in the space. The purification process can, thanks to the fact that water is provided next to the compartments, be used in a normal washing cycle.
The present invention is not limited by the above examples, but may be varied freely within the scope of the claims. Furthermore, some components can be removed and some components, not shown, added. The channels 18, 19 can be used, for example, in the known cleaning program to improve the cleaning of the space, either by initial supply of water into the drum or by recirculation of the water.
In the examples it is illustrated that the connection channels 35, 37 can supply water to the first channel 18 both during flushing of the compartment 15 for main water and during flushing of the compartment 14 for still water. One skilled in the art would appreciate that a connection channel which is only supplied with water during flushing of one of the compartments is covered by the scope of the invention. The same person would thus realize that a number of different connection channels for the purpose of supplying all water to the first channel are covered by the scope of the present invention. 9
